Many studies have shown that sufficient motivation would lead to job satisfaction, while taking into consideration various factors and causes. First they have considered that gender, age, profession, earnings and education determine high and low job satisfaction. Later on, other variables that are linked to organizational context and job content have disputed this idea as they were seen better in explaining differences in job satisfaction.

Earlier in time, studies have proved that some of the job attributes such as task identity, autonomy, variety and feedback can highly affect employee behavior and attitudes at work. They have also linked job commitment with job satisfaction, arguing that employees will be satisfied and committed to their responsibilities and tasks whenever there are recognition, affective orientation and participation within their organization.

In addition, many have reported other job satisfaction determinants such as task clarity, promotional opportunity, proper skills utilization, value of task along with relationships with colleagues and managers and organizational commitment. Finally, most of the studies showed that employees who develop psychological attachment or commitment to their employers are those who are more satisfied towards their working conditions and the existence of a strong relation between future revenue with customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction with employee satisfaction.

In Conclusion, employers should try hard to investigate and evaluate why would their employees end up dissatisfied, or leave. In reality, this is critical to their organizational success.

Organizational Variables are playing a very important role in employee satisfaction as the employees spend most of their time in the organization, in this category comes different variables listed below:

  1. Organization Development: an interdisciplinary field with contributions from different disciplines such as human resources management, communication, business and organizational/industrial psychology.

  2. Compensation and Benefit Policies: employers offer various compensation and benefits to their employees for performing their jobs, the strategies of these offerings should be clearly communicated to them whether within the organization policies or employee handbook or by other ways.

  3. Promotion: reassigning an internal employee a higher-level job with delegating responsibilities and authority needed for this higher job with a salary increase.

  4. Career Development: is an ongoing process of giving employees the opportunity to accelerate their careers when they are in a proper alignment with their employer’s needs and their career interests.

  5. Job Security: is the confidence of an employee of not losing his current job, the one he is holding on to and directly affecting his performance.

  6. Working Environment & Condition: these are interactions inside an organization whether with managers, subordinates or peers and a wide range of other things such as working hours, physical conditions and even mental requirements existing in the workplace.

  7. Job Satisfaction: is a group of negative and positive feelings that employees get towards their job.
